Pack Points are the card crafting currency of Pokémon TCG Pocket. They can be exchanged for cards according to the cards’ point cost.
How to obtain Pack Points?
Every time you open a booster pack in the Pack screen, you automatically collect 5 Pack Points. This doesn’t apply to booster packs you obtain by other means, such as gifted packs in certain events.
You can track your number of Pack Points in the Pack selection screen.
What's the card exchange rate for Pack points?
The cost of a card in Pack Points varies according to its rarity. This table also shows how many packs you need to open to collect that amount of points.
Rarity | Cost in Pack Points | Number of packs to open |
---|---|---|
35 Pack points | 7 booster packs | |
70 Pack points | 14 booster packs | |
150 Pack points | 30 booster packs | |
500 Pack points | 100 booster packs | |
400 Pack points | 80 booster packs | |
1250 Pack points | 250 booster packs | |
1500 Pack points | 300 booster packs | |
2500 points | 500 booster packs |
Not all cards can be exchanged for Pack Points; for instance, Promo cards cannot (cards from events, exclusive to premium pass holders, etc.). Only cards that can be acquired through packs offered in the Pack screen are eligible.
When to spend or to keep Pack Points?
- Pack Points should only be spent as a last resort. They take a long time to collect, so make sure you’ve opened all the booster packs you can and that you’ve tried many Wonder Picks to get the card you need.
- We advise you to spend Pack Points only on and cards. The cost is much steeper for cards compared to their cost in Wonder Picks and the probability of opening them in booster packs compared to cards.
There’s a limit of 2,500 Pack Points that you can collect at once. When you’re approaching that amount, make sure to spend some so you don’t waste the opportunity to collect more.
Pack Points are bound to the set from which you opened the booster packs: you cannot use the Pack Points you collected by opening Genetic Apex booster packs on another set.
If the availability period for a given booster pack ends, its Pack Points will no longer be available for exchange. It is currently unclear if the availability period refers to when a set is featured on the Pack screen or when it can be opened at all.
