New Pokémon TCG Pocket trailer!

This video is included in the Play Store promotional page for TCG Pocket. We break down all the content of the trailer.

New cards

Although unreadable, we can see Venusaur ex, Arcanine ex, Diglett, Paras, Rattata, Zapdos ex, Jolteon, Flareon, a full art Eevee and an alternate art Eevee, Whimsicott, Lickitung, Rapidash and the most impressive (and the most frightening) : immersive Mewtwo ex shattering a window, probably when escaping the laboratory.

Trading

We can see how a trade proceeds

Note that Slowbro and Lickitung share the same rarity, which confirms that trades will most likely only be possible between cards of the same rarity (already hinted at in the first trailer)

Microtransactions

It is confirmed that the game will have microtransactions. There’s even a price table in the iOS app store listing

We learn that the main currency is Poké Gold. It’s separated in two categories : Discount and Release, though their rates are similar. It’s possible that Release listings are discounted offers only available at the launch of the game and purchasable once, while Discount offers are available during special operations. A Premium pass is also available: it means there will be regular missions to earn rewards such as Poké Gold, and using the Premium Pass will bring more rewards at each stage of the missions you complete.

Interface

Coin flip will be done manually with your finger! Notice the cute Eevee coin

When the turn passed to the turn player, the field suddenly transformed to include a beautiful Eevee family playmat

A special menu is displayed featuring the whole generation 1 Eevee family : Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon and 3 Eevee artworks, including a full art! Does collecting all of these unlock the playmat seen above?

Display rack for cards

There’s an option to see your cards in a sort of display rack. They’re protected by a high quality (virtual) toploader which reflects the symbol of the type of the Pokémon

Collector tool

There’s a binder in TCG pocket. We can see Sabrina being added to it, and also the full size of Genetic Apex : the first set will have 226 cards total based on the number on top, but the listing goes up to 286 which probably means 60 ☆ rarity slots. And cards will have collector numbers!

Achievements

We can see multiple threshold of achievements : one for the 25 first cards collected, one for the 50 first cards collected and one for the 100 first cards collected. This seems to include duplicates
